Israel War

Israel Update: Take Action with Global Catalytic Ministries

In the wake of Iran’s recent missile attacks against Israel, tensions escalate and uncertainty looms over the Middle East. While headlines echo with anger, accusation, pain, and fear, we cling to the greater reality that God is at work in the region. As disciple-makers, we know that when the world is at its most desperate, people are often most willing to receive Christ. Stories from our disciple-makers in the region are emerging, testifying to the power of God.

A Testimony of Faith Over Fear

One disciple-maker was at a gas station when the rockets arrived in Israel. He went into the bomb shelter of the gas station where Israeli secular Jews, ultra-Orthodox Jews, and East Jerusalem Muslim Palestinians were taking shelter together. One young Palestinian was experiencing a panic attack and it opened up the opportunity to pray for him as well as to minister to a few Israelis who were in panic as the Iranian ballistic missiles were seen raining in the night sky with loud explosions.

In his own words, “We believe we had more opportunity to love on people in the gas station bunker and are thankful to spend those particular 20 minutes of terror with both Muslims and Jews who were in panic and ministering peace to them.” In the lived reality of war, disciple-makers are making the most of every opportunity to minister to people throughout the region.

A testimony of Jesus the Messiah

Meanwhile, in the streets of Jerusalem, a disciple-maker shares how they have been engaging their Jewish neighbors with the Scriptures. While studying Isaiah 61 and Isaiah 53, one woman’s heart was stirred and she began to wonder if Jesus really could be the Messiah.

A Testimony of the Man in White

One of our female Disciple-Makers in Israel approached a young woman working in a store and shared a profound insight: she sensed that Yeshua had been appearing to her in dreams. Overwhelmed, the store worker tearfully confessed that she had indeed been visited by a vision of a Man in White for several days. At that moment, within the confines of the orthodox store, the disciple prayed over her, guiding her to embrace the peace, love, and salvation of Yeshua right there and then.
