Discipling
Disciples
Moments and Movements
We aim to guide humanity into meaningful encounters with Jesus by combining the Great Commandment and the Great Commissions. This approach, which we call “Moments to Movements,” is rooted in Jesus’ disciple-making process outlined in scripture. As disciples ourselves, we share insights gained while navigating the challenges of the world as sheep among wolves.
Our focus is on capturing those divine encounters and personal moments with Christ that propel us toward our mission of making disciples of all nations. Whether it’s a dedicated homeschooling mother in California fostering movements within her community, a brave father risking everything in the Arabian Peninsula, or a former homosexual escort turned disciple reaching out to LGBTQ community — we’ve witnessed the transformative power of authentic intimacy with God.
Our coaching goes beyond merely imparting methods; it aims to ignite a spiritual awakening that has the potential to shake nations. Through these experiences, we’ve seen how responding to God from the depth of our hearts can lead to the creation of movements that make a lasting impact.

Disciple-Making
In all of our disciple-making efforts we seek to follow the model that Jesus taught us
“As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” (John 20:21)
“follow my example, just as I follow the example of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Sought the Holy Spirit’s anointing before he began.
Ministered as a man filled with the Holy Spirit.
Frequently withdrew to pray alone.
Expected miracles to generate interest and faith in his message.
Didn’t openly claim to be the Messiah. Took people on a journey of discovery.
Sought to eat and drink with people to find ‘People of Peace’.
Focused on the poor, marginalized, and hungry.
Brought the Good News differently to different people.
Empowered individuals to bring their family and social networks to him.
Simple message:
“The power of God is here to help you”.
Simple method:
Tell compelling stories and facilitate discussion.
Demonstrated that persecution, death, and suffering serve to spread his message.
Taught Apostles to go further than he did.
Seek the Holy Spirit’s anointing before we begin.
Minister as people filled with the Holy Spirit.
Frequently withdraw to pray together.
Expect miracles to generate interest and faith in the message.
Don’t give people easy answers. Guide them on a journey of discovery.
Get into homes to eat and drink with people, looking for ‘People of Peace’.
Focus on the poor, marginalized, and hungry.
Bring the Good News appropriately to different groups of people.
Empower people to bring their family and social networks through the discovery journey.
Simple message:
“The power of God is here to help you”.
Simple method:
Tell compelling stories and facilitate discussion.
Trust that persecution, death, and suffering will serve to spread our message.
Teach others to go further than we have.
We don’t invite God into our mission; we join him in his.
We are not called to work for God, but to partner with God.
All our fruitfulness flows out of deep intimacy with God.
People need to see God’s Kingdom to believe our news about God’s Kingdom.
To encourage personal discovery and faith.
To build genuine relationships and trust in a community setting.
To find people who are ready to experience the gospel.
Even thirsty people will reject life-giving water if we offer it to them in the wrong cup.
Insiders make the best evangelists because they have their hearers’ trust.
God uses people’s felt needs to draw them to him.
Debating ideas entrenches people’s views. Discussing stories challenges and changes people’s views.
To follow the examples of Jesus is to be a sheep among wolves.
Gospel movement requires decentralization and intentional release of others.

What does it mean to make disciples?
To make disciples is to help people move from unbelief into a transforming encounter with Jesus. It goes beyond a hand raised or a prayer — it’s a lifelong process of equipping ordinary people to hear His voice, obey what He says, and teach others to do the same. This is the heart of the Great Commission.
What is the difference between evangelism and disciple-making?
Evangelism is sharing the gospel so someone comes to faith in Jesus. Disciple-making goes further. It is the ongoing process of teaching that new believer to obey everything Jesus commanded and then helping them do the same with others. Evangelism starts the journey. Disciple-making multiplies it.
What is the difference between a convert and a disciple?
A convert may know Jesus as Savior, but a disciple follows Him as Lord. A convert can make an initial decision yet remain unchanged, but a disciple lives by faith, shaped by a real encounter with Jesus. A disciple is someone actively learning to obey everything Jesus commanded and helping others do the same. GCM exists to see the lost become reproducing disciples.
What does obedience-based discipleship mean?
Obedience-based discipleship means we do not just teach knowledge about Jesus. We teach people to immediately obey what He commands. Every discovery in Scripture leads straight to action: repent, be baptized, forgive, love your enemies, and make disciples. Love through obedience is the true measure of a faith-filled disciple.
What does success look like in disciple-making?
Success is not large crowds or buildings. Success is disciples who love Jesus, obey His commands, and multiply. We measure fruit and character, not crowds. Jesus doesn’t want people doing things in His name but not in His character.
What biblical model does GCM follow?
GCM follows the Luke 10 / Matthew 10 model and the pattern of the early church in Acts. We believe Jesus gave a simple, reproducible blueprint for making disciples in any culture, especially in hostile environments. Our approach isn’t a new method — it’s a return to the process Jesus Himself taught. We often call it The Forgotten Manifesto of Jesus.
What is Luke 10 and why does GCM follow it?
Luke 10 records Jesus sending out 72 ordinary disciples in pairs. He gave them simple instructions: pray, go, find a Person of Peace, eat what is set before you, heal the sick, proclaim the kingdom. GCM follows Luke 10 because it is the clearest, most reproducible model for making disciples anywhere, especially under persecution.
What is a Discovery Bible Study?
A Discovery Bible Study is a simple, reproducible way to study Scripture together. The group reads a passage and asks four key questions — What does it say? What does it mean? What will I obey? Who will I tell? — then obeys and shares what they learn. The Holy Spirit is the teacher. No expert is required.
What is a Person of Peace?
A Person of Peace is someone God has already prepared. They are receptive, hospitable, and willing to gather their network. Jesus told His disciples to look for these people in Luke 10. They often become the first disciples and open the door for an entire community.
What role does the Holy Spirit play?
The Holy Spirit is our teacher, comforter, and empowerer. He guides us into truth, convicts us of sin, fills us with courage, and gives us gifts to serve the kingdom. We depend on the Spirit in every part of disciple-making and daily life.
What role do women play in GCM's work?
Women play a vital and growing role in GCM. Many serve as disciple-makers, house church leaders, coaches, and prayer mobilizers. They often reach other women and entire families in ways that men cannot. Their courage, relational wisdom, and obedience are helping multiply the movement in some of the most difficult places — and in some locations are leading some of the largest movements on earth.
Why are women disciple-makers so important in Muslim contexts?
In many Muslim cultures, women are the primary influencers in the home and among other women. A woman who meets Jesus can naturally share the gospel with her family and friends in safe, relational ways. GCM has seen women disciple-makers open entire networks that would otherwise remain closed. Their role is not secondary — it is strategic and essential.
How does GCM empower women in the underground church?
GCM empowers women through the same tools and training offered to everyone: the free Disciple-Making Bootcamp, regional coaching calls, and hands-on mentoring. We recognize and raise up women based on their fruit in making disciples, not on traditional titles or gender. The church in Iran is the fastest growing church in the world and is majority led by women.
