Christ’s Three Commissions
At the heart of GCM’s disciple-making process lies Christ’s three commissions: the return of Jesus, loving Israel, and making disciples of her enemy. The first revolves around preparing disciples for the return of Christ (Maranatha) by teaching them to love Him and obey His commandments, while the second focuses on honoring Israelites as God’s chosen people. The third centers on making disciples in the most challenging and often deadly places, regardless of the circumstances—what GCM aptly refers to as “Sheep Among Wolves.”
By focusing on both the great commandment- to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and strength- as well as the great commission- to make disciples of every nation- GCM has a multi-step discipleship process that reflects Christ’s call.
