In the final chapter of The Growing Gathering of Jesus, Phil sets out four options for traditional churches when it comes to disciple-making movements:

Option #1 is to bless them.
Option #2 is to release a small team to begin pursuing a disciple-making movement. The “main train” of the existing church stays on the same track, but a parallel track is built next to it for an emerging leader to step up and lead a “new train”.
Option #3 is the same as Option #2, but the current church leader transitions into leading this “new train” and an emerging leader steps up to lead the existing church.
Option #4 is to try to transition the existing church entirely toward becoming a disciple-making movement.
