Well done for reading the first section of The Growing Gathering of Jesus because it can’t have been easy reading for you! You place a high value on church as you know it. You either believe that your church is doing really well with the Great Commission, or you believe that the harvest fields are so hard where you and that there is no point in trying anything different.

We would love to ask you:

If your church is how Jesus wants it to be, then why isn’t it having as great an impact on your community as the churches in the book of Acts had on theirs?

Do you believe that the statistics quoted about church decline are inaccurate? If you do, then what do you believe would be a truer picture? What alternative data can you provide to back up your view?

We would encourage you to spend some time reflecting on your answers in prayer. What do you sense the Lord saying to you as you reflect on your answers before him?

As you read the next section of The Growing Gathering of Jesus, we would encourage you to open your heart to what the Lord might want to say to you through the Scriptures and through the disciple-makers in Asia and Africa that you will meet in this next section.
