Am I an Ambassador of Christ? | Honest Reflection (Romans 12:2)

We live in a broken and wicked world, with a necessity for the Savior, there is no perfect place on this earth, the answer is Jesus. We can see different things happening around the world, as the governments make decisions for their countries, wars, conflicts, crimes, and so many other things.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2

We Are Ambassadors of Heaven

We do not belong to this world, but we live in a broken world. That is not an excuse for our faults and sins. Wherever we go, we are ambassadors of Heaven, we cannot live as others do.

That decision needs determination and obedience to God’s Word, and many times many people will not be able to understand the decisions and convictions that we carry within us. Those are only the product of a relationship with the Lord.

We are called to be a testimony, but not a religious person, trying to hit people with the Bible, with our daily lives. We can pretend to know the Lord, but the people around us are always looking at our lives and they can see the truth.

We can be genuine with our Creator that knows every detail about us. When we feel alone, we can meet with Him, and tell him everything, but also, He has given us special friendships that make us grow in every aspect.

“Do not be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God! —harvests a crop of weeds. All he will have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.”

Galatians 6:7-8 The Message

Community of Ambassadors

We are not alone, that is the truth. We need a community so we do not forget what God has promised, it could be to die as a martyr, or to open an orphanage, to have a business that honors Him, to be an honest president, a mother that trains her children, or whatever God had put in our lives and hearts, but it is important to listen to what God is speaking and what he wants you to walk in.

Even when we cannot feel or see we decide to continue walking in the promise, that is called faith, true faith, enduring. Not looking at what we do not have.

We are running everyday. Often feeling we are not going anywhere. We can choose to run for a purpose in the middle of everything, in the middle of the voices that fight to steal our purpose, our attention from the goal, which is Jesus.

We are called to be the light and the salt of the earth. We are called to break every chain in our country and declare the truth.

Ambassadors that Endure

In the last weeks we have seen many fighting against Israel, against the city that Jesus will come back to. It is not feeling comfortable and easy for the Israelis to be firm on the truth, the cost at these moments for them is high, many times we want the easy path.

It is easy to serve and love the Lord in our comfort zone, when everything is going fine and working for our good, but what if we are struggling, are we going to continue persisting? Are we going to continue burning for him? Are we going to love with crazy love even in the middle of the difficulties? We are called for a greater purpose; it does not mean that it is going to be easy to endure until the end.
