GCM board writes a prayer for this new season at Global Catalytic Ministries.
Heavenly Father,
We love you and worship you. We worship you in Spirit and in Truth. We praise you for who you are, what matters to you, what your perspective and values are, what you desire for your creation, and what you have done and continue to do.
You are worthy of all praise and worship from every people, tribe, tongue, and nation. Thank you that when we woke up this morning, we were all one day closer to the glorious, soon return of Jesus Messiah, our King of kings and Lord of lords, Good Shepherd & Strong Tower, Living Bread & Fountain of Living Waters, Savior & Strong Foundation, Redeemer and the Restorer of All Yahweh’s Sons & Daughters.
LORD, you have been our Dwelling Place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Psalm 90:1-2 ESV
Forward Together
Father, as we move forward together as your sons and daughters, as brothers & sisters in Jesus, we choose to rest in you. You are our Dwelling Place, Safe Harbor, Refuge & Sanctuary, Mighty Fortress, Green Pastures, and Quiet Waters.
We rest in you. We choose to abide with you every day, every moment, every step, breath, and heartbeat. Help us to remain in you and do everything we can every day to practice your presence, to always be aware that you are right here with us, and always listening to your voice.
You live in us, Holy Spirit, you love us, and you are always speaking to us. You care about us, and you are for us not against us, and you are cultivating within us as a family a unity and love for one another.
Unity Not Uniformity
We are here to embrace each other as forever family and not to find out what we do not have in common. We will stick together while celebrating our differences and supporting each other’s unique mixes of spiritual gifts that you have given to and activated within each of us. We believe in unity not uniformity.
Thank you for your presence and friendship Holy Spirit, thanks for being our best friends. Help us always be mindful of ways we can be better friends to you.
Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One, Jesus the Lord, into your lives, continue to journey with him and allow him to shape your lives. Let your roots grow down deeply in him and let him build you up on a Firm Foundation. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always spill over with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7 VOICE)
Deep Roots
Father, we want the roots of our souls to grow ever deeper in you. We want everything in our lives to be about you. We haven’t forgotten Jesus’ loving warning to missionaries, where he said many will come before him on Judgement Day calling him “Lord, Lord” and pointing to their apostolic & prophetic works in his name as proof of their tickets to Zion, and Jesus with a broken heart will send each of them to hell saying, “Depart from me workers of evil, we have never met.”
We do not want to ever miss or be distracted from what is most important to you.
Father, it has always been and always will be about a relationship with you. The Gospel is not accurate theological information, it is a living, breathing, continuous, eternal relationship, friendship with you.
What do we love about our friends? They are available. They are faithful. They are friendly and kind. They really care about us, and they are there for us in every season. When we are down and hurt or in trouble, they are right there to help us every step of the way from deliverance to restoration and beyond.
We love to hang out with each other. We prioritize time with our friends because they’re our favorite people on the earth and we know we don’t have to hide anything, we don’t have to worry about how we say things because they know us better than we know ourselves and they always give us the benefit of the doubt and even if we mess up they’re instant-forgivers.
That is the kind of friend you are to us times 10,000. Matt says it the best, “10,000 reasons for my heart to find.” We love you Father, and we need your help to keep diving ever deeper into who you are. Do not let us ever get to a point where we think we know everything because we never will, not even close.
Always-Disciples
We will always be disciples, never masters. And we are so happy and content to remain in the role of learner in this relationship because we always have more to learn. Keep us humble. Keep us gentle. Keep us compassionate. Keep us generous. Keep us focused on your heart, Father.
Holy Spirit, teach us increasingly about how to center everything on you no matter what is going on around us. We want to be your friends in every season and stage of our faith adventures until you call us home or return to collect us.
God sent Jesus to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:5-6 NLT)
Father, I am so humbled to enter this tribe that I have not been a member of, I have only heard about them. I told Mike today that GCM feels like a person. So many organizations feel like a spiritually dead business, but GCM feels like a living, breathing being. There is a special blessing resting upon this family, and your love and favor Father are powerful in this place. Thank you, Lord.
We are here to do what we can, each of us as the Spirit leads us, to see disciples making disciples in every tribe, tongue, nation, and people. That is why we are here. We exist to worship you, Lord. But GCM exists because Jesus has not returned yet. And GCM’s purpose will not be complete until the trumpet sounds, and our Messiah comes on the clouds of heaven, and we rise to meet you in the air with all the saints and angels for our Endless Hallelujah Dance Party!
Until then, Father, we are about freedom. We will practice freedom ourselves and keep going to all peoples with this freedom that sets captives free from their bondage to the dragon and his armies.
We’re going to pray and have faith, and give and advocate, and go and open doors as you lead us Lord until there’s no place left, there’s no tribe left that has not yet received the Truth, been born again, been filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit, been guided into a daily friendship with the Holy Spirit, growing in freedom and wisdom, and taking that same light and life to anyone who will listen and give us some time over a cup of coffee or tea to share our stories and answer their questions about our Beloved King and his Beautiful Kingdom and lovingly invite them to join us.
Nomadic Pilgrims
Father, we entrust the future of GCM to you. All the days ordained for this family have already been written. You already know the plans you have for us, and they are good, because you are good. We recognize that the journey is taking place in a chaotic field of impossible odds, but we are not concerned about that because we are nomadic pilgrims in this life. We are keeping our eyes fixed on you and all our hope is in you and your coming kingdom.
We totally trust you, and we know you will show us the way one day & step at a time.
Father, bless the freedom-singing culture of GCM. Thank you for all our brothers and sisters all over the world making unimaginable sacrifices to see your Kingdom come and your will being done among the most difficult to reach peoples and within the most dangerous to sow fields on the earth in our generation. Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you are with each of them, that you are helping and guiding them, you are providing for and protecting them.
Thanks for the gift of being in this family. Please bless our board team, and help us to be prayer warriors, generous investors, and door-opening advocates for this tribe, knowing that we are doing it all for you, for your glory, Father.
Thanks for the gift of prayer, where we can pour out our hearts before you. Teach us how to pray, Father, because we do not know how. All we know is that we are crazy about you, and we just absolutely love being your kids.
I bless GCM and this new season she is stepped into in the mighty, matchless, marvelous, merciful name of Jesus Messiah, Amen, Shalom, Maranatha, Hallelujah!
