As you visit our website, it has gone through quite a transformation. Not only our website but the entire GCM ministry updated its communication strategy.
In the coming year, you’ll see more changes as we continue to roll out this transformation. From a fresh, updated logo to new disciple-making resources, we’re excited to enhance our ability to empower disciple-makers worldwide in spreading God’s love.
It’s been a decade since we last reconsidered our messaging. Looking back, we realize how much the world, technology, and our lives have changed. We recognized the need to move beyond our current ways in order to propel ourselves forward.
Starting today, you’ll begin to see the results of our rollout across our website, social media channels, emails, and resources. We’re not just changing our outward appearance; we’re reworking what we do and how we do it.
So why now?
GCM began with a commitment to making disciples in the hostile environment of Iran. Although faced with challenges, disciple-makers remained resilient and active. We’ve successfully coached and resourced the underground church with the support of many.
We were on a roll. The ministry was growing, people were growing and excitement was all around us. Then, the face of “persecution” changed and we knew we were in a great place to help once again.
Initially, the messaging focused on Iran and the underground church. As participation continues to expand in the Middle East, we’ve experienced an increase in coaching requests from missionary teams, organizations, and churches in Western countries like the United States. With many hungry to reach foreigners and neighborhoods alike, it became crucial to revisit the GCM brand with intentionality to better communicate our goals, and our experiences while resourcing our underground disciple-makers.
What Changed for GCM?
A lot has changed. We’ve developed tech mechanisms for safe communication, decentralized management, and improved communication strategies. We shed the dark look and feel that represented oppression and persecution for a lighter, more approachable sensibility communicating hope and goodness that comes from being focused on Jesus and His kingdom.
All in all, we honor all those in our past, as well as, all the hard lessons learned. In our attempt to refine our communications, one thing continues to shine through above all, no matter the individual, no matter the tribe, no matter the circumstance or location, God loves no matter what.
